The OSM US Charter Project Program supports the long-term stewardship of projects that are integral to the open mapping ecosystem. Currently, it supports OSMCha, OpenHistoricalMap, and MapRoulette.
Funding for the Charter Project Engineer role ended on August 1 and has not been renewed by its original sponsors. Without further funding, the OSM US team will be unable to continue maintaining or making new technical investments in the Charter Projects.
This blog post provides more information about the program, this challenge, and how you or your organization can contribute.
