OpenWetlandsMap

Exciting news: OSM US is partnering with EPIC (the Environmental Policy & Innovation Center) on a new project, OpenWetlandsMap.

The project's goal is to improve the current complicated, disorganized, and often outdated state of wetland data in the US through collaboration and OSM.

Contributors draw on photographs sourced from local libraries and museums and assign each image a physical location using information from OSM, OldInsuranceMaps.net, and primary sources. Yesterdays is a web-based tool for education, community engagement, and an accessible entry point into the world of OpenStreetMap and open data..."
