Mapillary is a rich source of visual information about the world around us, and is known for providing map data like traffic signs derived from what is visible in imagery. In this talk, we will take a look at some of the current and future potential of deriving new data from Mapillary that can improve OpenStreetMap, such as mapping sidewalk networks and crosswalk nodes, finding points of interest (POIs), verifying data sources like Overture Places, and enriching the attributes of existing data.
