In January Richmond, Virginia lost water for a week due to a catastrophic failure at our water treatment plant. Amid this chaos we conducted a survey of our neighbors to learn more about the geographic extent of the outage. Our project was an overnight success, with over two thousand respondents. In this talk we’ll share the story of how we collected and analyzed this data in real-time as the Richmond water crisis unfolded.
