Mapping POIs accurately can be challenging at scale especially to include entrances. Often POIs in OSM aren’t aligned well to buildings or other features. Using smartphones and increasingly smart glasses it is possible for mappers to contribute their geographic pose (view) for a POI. These poses can be used to confirm or improve the location of POIs. To demonstrate the approach we’ll demo a mobile app that uses captured poses to improve the location of POI in a simple point and tap interface.
