Procedure: divide the room into groups and assign each an animal. The task is to create a map of the common room with markers and paper while in the guise of the assigned animal with the intention of the map being used by other members of that species. Afterwards, reveal the different animal maps and discuss design process.

Rationale: Every map has a job and an audience. How does a map look for someone very different from us and how does that reveal our responsibility as mappers?
