In the Amazon, many communities face challenges worsened by their lack of representation on official maps, perpetuating marginalization. Collaborative mapping, supported by open technologies, brings visibility to these territories by generating data from and for the communities. In a HOT project in Colombia, drones and local training empowered Indigenous people to map their region autonomously. This model aims to be replicated, promoting inclusive maps and redistributing the power of cartography
