In Southeast Asia, two-wheelers and informal transit like jeepneys and angkots power urban mobility, yet most navigation apps overlook them. At GrabMaps, we’re using OSM to build hyperlocal navigation tailored for these vehicles—mapping informal networks, optimizing routes, and improving fuel efficiency. This session explores the challenges of adapting OSM for Southeast Asia and how the community can enhance map data to improve mobility and livelihoods for millions.
