Madison Concourse Hotel

Friday and Saturday conference programming will take place at the Madison Concourse Hotel, centrally located on the isthmus of Madison, Wisconsin and one block away from the Wisconsin State Capitol. There is paid hotel parking for conference attendees and an additional parking garage nearby at the State Street Capitol ramp (214 N. Caroll Street). The hotel is also around the corner from the A, B, and F Westbound Metro Transit bus stops.

Overnight parking for hotel guests is $18 per night, or there is an on-call complimentary shuttle from the Dane County airport to the hotel between 4:30am and 10:30pm. Getting to Madison

By Air

Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) services the area for American Airlines, United, Delta, Breeze, Sun Country, and Frontier. The D2 Metro Transit bus line can take you from the airport to Downtown Madison, there is a complimentary shuttle for those staying at the Madison Concourse Hotel, and it takes about 15 minutes to get downtown via taxi, rideshare, or rental car.

By Rail

The nearest Amtrak hubs to Madison are Milwaukee Intermodal and Chicago Union Station. Amtrak offers a connecting bus service from the Chicago or Milwaukee stations to downtown Madison.

By Road

Madison is about 1.5 hours by car from Milwaukee, 2.5 hours from Chicago, and 4.5 hours from Minneapolis.

The Badger Bus runs between both the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and the Milwaukee Intermodal Bus and Amtrak Station to the University of Wisconsin Madison campus. The area is also served by various intercity bus services, such as Greyhound, Flixbus, and Megabus.


Getting Around

Madison is known to be a very walkable city, especially in the downtown area near the conference venue. The Madison Concourse Hotel is only a 10-20 minute walk to either lake shore, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues in between.

The regional bus line in Madison is known as Metro Transit. There are many bus routes that run down the isthmus into downtown, including a Bus Rapid Transit line (Route A). You can pay with a pre-loaded Fast Fare card, or directly through Google Pay, Apply Pay, or Samsung Pay with a MasterCard or Visa.

Madison’s bikeshare is called Madison BCycle, which consists of entirely electric-assist bicycles and over 100 stations in the area. Generally, Madison is a very bike-friendly city, with multiple dedicated bike paths and on-street bike lanes running through downtown. Take a look at the city’s bike map for more information.

If you’re getting around by car, the vast majority of parking options in downtown Madison are paid garages or metered street parking with payment by kiosk or app. The City of Madison maintains a handy map of current hourly parking availability.
