Registration is now open for the annual US OpenStreetMap conference in San Francisco June 8 & 9. State of the Map US brings two full days of sessions on how OpenStreetMap is being used in the private sector, education, government, and international development, what tools and business models are being built on it, how people are bringing in new users to contribute to the map, and the overall vision of advancing open geodata.
Register today to get the early bird rate of just $75, which is only available for a limited time. We’re also offering a one year OpenStreetMap US chapter membership for just $10 – a 50% discount – for people attending State of the Map.
Submit a session
We’d not only love to have you attend the conference, but also to speak at it. We’re currently accepting session proposals and would like to hear from you if you’re doing interesting work with OpenStreetMap and open data. The call for session proposals is open until April 26 . A final schedule will be posted in early May.
Hands-on workshops and sprint day
There will also be hands on workshops on June 7 teaching practical skills around using OpenStreetMap and a sprint day on June 10 to bring together folks to improve OpenStreetMap tools, invent new ones, write documentation, and address other needs. Stay tuned for details, and plan your travel accordingly.
Scholarships
We’re offering travel scholarships and free admission to volunteers at the event to help make sure everyone who wants to attend State of the Map can. Contact us if you’re interested.
