OpenStreetMap US

Please join me in welcoming Nellie Rose Blair to the OpenStreetMap US team. Nellie has stepped into the role of our first Philanthropy & Engagement Coordinator. She is working on a part-time basis to enhance communications, boost member relations, write grants, and help secure funding for OSM US. Do you have a story to share, a mapping project to amplify or ideas for social media content? Send them her way!

Nellie has a diverse professional background, bringing with her a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector. In previous roles, she served as development director, grant writer, and membership coordinator.

Nellie’s educational background is equally diverse. She has a master’s degree in urban & regional planning from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree in art and psychology from The College of William & Mary. Though she is new to OpenStreetMap, she has experience in GIS thanks to her graduate work in urban planning.

When she is not working you can find Nellie making art or practicing yoga. She loves spending time with her two children, friends, and family. Her happy place (and a place she’d like to map) is Cape Charles, a little town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Please help us welcome Nellie to the OSM US community!
