This talk gives a rundown of the current efforts surrounding OpenStreetMap in the Department of Geography at Frostburg State University in the mountains of Western Maryland. The use of OSM has continued to increase through its inclusion in the cartography curriculum, GTU (geography honor society) events, and the formation of a new YouthMappers Chapter. Student interest is robust and the department is well-positioned to advance the efforts of OSM in Appalachia.
