OpenStreetMap has become a platform for empowering communities and supporting data driven decision making. This panel will explore how both OSM and US federal programs can develop new and better data, increase citizen engagement and meet program objectives through collaboration. Thought leaders from the US Federal government will discuss overcoming barriers to collaboration and ways OSM cooperation leads to innovation and program success.

Carrie Stokes has worked in international development, geospatial technology, and the environment for thirty years. Most recently, she served as the Chief Geographer at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) headquarters in Washington, DC.
