This talk will discuss the (San Francisco) Bay Area Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s work evaluating the feasibility of using OSM to support a new program of regional wayfinding information. These maps will be located at regional transit centers and use OSM data together with GTFS transit data for content. We will discuss data requirements, evaluation method, and findings, recognizing that this project is in its early phases. Initial product prototypes are scheduled for Q2, 2024.
