We’ve been working with cities who wanted to inventory their parking rules, and it turns out one-dimensional stuff is really hard to map… so we built a thing. The CurbWheel is a standard digital measuring wheel that’s been hardwired to a Raspberry Pi, which lets it talk to apps and devices. User launch an app on their phone, roll the wheel, and snap photos and record features they want to map, then process them into standardized curb data feed (CurbLR). CurbWheel ingests street data from OSM and output can be contributed back.
