OpenStreetMap US

At State of the Map US 2018 we demonstrated some new projects Esri was undertaking to make OpenStreetMap data more accessible for visualization and analysis. Since then, we’ve maintained our focus on those initiatives and we’re excited to provide an update.

Esri has continued efforts to share OSM data to more people and organizations through open web services, but we’ve also now begun to allow users to leverage those services in powerful ways. In this talk we’ll discuss some example applications that allow anyone to style custom maps and perform spatial analysis on OSM data. We’ll also cover our data management and publishing processes, plans for the future, as well as some recent customer engagements which have allowed us to explore new frontiers with OpenStreetMap.
