OpenStreetMap US

The Streets of Women is a project developed by the Geochicas community, which is an Iberian-American NGO that promotes women participation in mapping processes on OpenStreetMap. In this talk we are going to share the ongoing results of putting Costa Rica on the Streets of Women map and the issues we’ve had along the way regarding mapping standards. In addition, we will present the application of the collected information to further make a change in the visibility of women in Costa Rican society.
