Imagine Earth, as seen from space, on your kitchen counter, as an interactive globe. It’s nothing short of stunning. This will be an overview and call to action to help us bring this spherical display to life. We have a working hardware prototype with open source plans and a $100 BOM including a Raspberry Pi. It has voice, video, multi-touch and gesture inputs and it can replace your voice assistant. Display is 1080p and HDR and it can run OSM down to street level. It’s also ideal to display real-time weather, day night clock and other current or historical geological events. It’s literally the world at your fingertips.
