Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) is an international organization committed to humanitarian action and community development through open mapping. HOT Tasking Manager is designed and built for HOT’s collaborative mapping process in OpenStreetMap.The purpose of the tool is to divide a mapping project into smaller tasks that can be completed rapidly with many people working on the same overall area. Since its inception in 2012, Tasking Manager has supported 11K+ mapping projects for 158 countries. More than 300K mappers have supported the humanitarian cause through contribution of 127M buildings and 2.6M kms of highways.This session will cover the short term roadmap and the future development plans for the tool with the community.
