There are lots of great tools and tutorials out there for styling one-off base maps, but how do you build and maintain beautiful, shippable, well-designed map styles that will endure alongside your OSM-based mapping application? The cartographers at Stamen have done it by borrowing best practices from collaborative coding and map product design to develop a set of workflows that enable collaboration with open source and the creation of beautiful, performant maps.
