The specific needs of children, as well as the impacts of road design, traffic, and congestion on them, are often inadequately addressed in transport planning, including in cities like Nairobi. This presentation employs real-time Uber Movement data and OpenStreetMap for a data-driven analysis, comparing traffic effects on school days versus holidays in Nairobi. The emphasis is on revealing the underestimated influence of road design, traffic, and congestion on children’s school activities.
