A case study in using OpenStreetMap data to replace proprietary geographic information for a small organization. We will cover introducing OSM to leaders and integrating the data into the organization. The ultimate goal of the project is to get maps into the hands of the members of Train Mountain Railroad and help them navigate the miniature rails.
Speakers
Harrison is a hobbyist mapper, Wikipedian, community gardener, and cyclist based in Brooklyn, NY. Professionally, he is a non-profit accountant supporting a variety of small and mid-size human service organizations. As a mapper he is focused on pedestrian infrastructure. He lends his non-profit accounting experience to OSM US as the board treasurer and sits on the OSMF Finance Committee.
