Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are small, relatively inexpensive local devices that can be turned into powerful mapping tools. With open source software such as OpenDroneMap, OpenAerialMap, and OSM, anyone can take mapping into their own hands without the need to purchase expensive satellite imagery.
