OpenStreetMap US

A shared discussion among panelists and the audience on the purpose and merit of various degrees of “officialness” OSM data verification. The goal of this discussion is to come away with a well-defined problem and opportunity space for:

  • If/how OSM data can be reflected as “verified”?
  • How could/should OSM mirror systems of record?
  • If yes, who should be able to validate what?
  • Processes for performing the validation?
  • Processes for resolving differences.
