ADA-compliant routing in OpenTripPlanner can be significantly improved by standardizing and simplifying OSM pedestrian networks. We show the benefits of breaking the network into logical navigable links with appropriate tags for use with route impedance and discuss safe navigation challenges in using crowdsourced data.

  2. Overview of the ITS4US project
  3. Advantages of network methods
  4. Recommended OSM protocols
  5. Current obstacles
