The TIGER import kick started the map in the US, but the majority of that data remains untouched. To make finding these untouched areas easier, Martijn van Exel built the “TIGER Battlegrid” map in 2013. That code was lost, but a similar version is updated every year for the last few years. In this talk, we’ll go run through how this updated layer is built and how to use it. We’ll also touch on how to build something similar for your own purposes.
