OpenStreetMap US

We’re extending a special invitation to the top contributors of U.S OpenStreetMap data to the State of the Map San Francisco conference , along with a 50% discount. To determine the top mappers, we’ve analyzed the weekly changesets file to see who has made the most edits to U.S. map over the past 16 months.

We’d love to see these folks at the State of the Map US conference this year, and as a token of encouragement, are sending them a 50% off coupon to the conference – if you’re one of them, you’ll receive this in your inbox today. We also know that traveling to San Francisco can be expensive, so we also encourage all of these folks – and anyone in need of some extra help – to apply for a scholarship to the conference. We’re offering $500 travel stipends and free admission to all scholars, who will be selected based on the work they’re doing with OpenStreetMap and within our community. The submission deadline is just four days away on April 23, so don’t wait.

Of course, volume isn’t everything and the methodology we used to determine the most prolific mappers is incredibly coarse. If you know of a great mapper who’s not on this list but whose mapping activity we should recognize, we’d like to hear from you , and we also encourage you to recommend her or him for a scholarship .

Eligibility

We’ll send everyone a 50% off coupon code who falls into the top 50 mappers by number of changesets or the top 50 mappers by number of modified objects (see lists below) – OpenStreetMap US chapter board members excluded. If you’re on one of these lists but don’t hear from us by tomorrow (Saturday, 4/20), drop us a line . And thank you for all your contributions!
