OpenStreetMap US

New to OpenStreetMap? Join us for the Introduction to OpenStreetMap Workshop at State of the Map US in Washington, DC April 12 & 13. This three-hour long session will help you get started by answering some common questions about what OSM is, how to contribute to it, and even how to get the data back out afterwards.

After walking through the basics, we’ll switch gears and teach you how to edit OpenStreetMap via the iD editor. We’ll go through a number of common workflows, including adding new points of interest, tracing buildings, drawing footpaths, adjusting street alignments, and fixing topology. There will be lots of time for Q&A throughout the session.

If you’re interested, join us on Saturday at 9:45am and bring your laptop. Space is limited, so come early to get a spot.
