OpenStreetMap US

We’re just a few days away from State of the Map US in Washington, DC. This post will give you a run down of what’s happening over the weekend.

On Friday night we’ll kick things off with a welcome party at the Mapbox garage. Join us for drinks and sliders from 6:30-10pm.

Saturday morning marks the start of the main conference. Registration opens at 8am, and sessions start at 9am. Given that the conference will be packed, we recommend coming early - we’ll have plenty of coffee. Check out the full schedule to plan what sessions you’ll attend. There will also be Birds of a Feather sessions organized at the event, running concurrently to main sessions. Look for the whiteboard by registration to see what’s been scheduled and to suggest your own conversation. If you’re new to OpenStreetMap, check out the Intro to OpenStreetMap workshop on Saturday morning.

We’ll keep the fun going Saturday night with a party at Rocket Bar from 7-10pm. Empanadas and the first round of drinks are on us.

Sunday is the second day of the main conference. We’ll follow that with a happy hour at Old Dominion Brewhouse.

Monday is our Sprint Day at the American Red Cross. This is time to do hands on work to improve OpenStreetMap. RSVP so you can gain access to the building.

Details and locations for all these events are available on the conference website. See you soon in DC!
