OpenStreetMap US

We are calling on all members of the OpenStreetMap community to share ideas for State of the Map US 2018. Whether you are brand new to OSM or have been a core contributor since the beginning, we want to hear from you! With State of the Map coming to Detroit October 5-7 this year, we especially welcome proposals from local and regional groups highlighting your work.

You can propose a few options: a 20 minute talk, a 5 minute lightning talk, or a longer workshop. Feel free to propose a different format if you have a novel idea.

Not sure what to propose? Tell us what you would like to learn about this year! Five years of past programs are online if you’re looking for inspiration and themes to follow up on: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013. If you have a great idea but don’t want to do it all by yourself, try a lightning talk! We encourage all SOTM US participants to at least look over the call for proposals and think up an idea, even if you don’t submit it (and we hope you do!). We will host an open info session on May 8. Or, feel free to reach out to us at sotmus@openstreetmap.us.

We are looking forward to hearing from you! Submit your ideas here.
