OpenStreetMap US

We are so excited about our program – but something is missing and that may be you.

Our stage will showcase all the incredible work in local OpenStreetMap communities across the country πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ and especially in our host city of Detroit πŸš— πŸ™. We are opening up a second, focused round of proposal for lightning talks on OpenStreetMap community in US cities and neighborhoods. Especially in Detroit, we are eager to hear about all manner of mapping by communities and startups, out in the open, with open data or open source or OSM.

We’d also want to offer State of the Map US attendees more opportunities to go in depth and learn. We have more space for workshops, and are asking for additional submissions. OpenStreetMap grows through our culture of teaching and learning both how to map and how to build with map data.

Please share your idea for workshops and community lightning talks! Email sotmus@openstreetmap.us to submit, giving your name, session name, and a short abstract. The call is open until September 7. Ask questions by email or on OSM US Slack.
