OpenStreetMap US

OpenStreetMap US is delighted to announce the 10th anniversary State of the Map US has been rescheduled for April 1-3, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona!

Be ready for a mapping packed event! There will be a welcome social Thursday evening, two days of talks on April 1st and 2nd, and other activities on the 3rd. You will have the opportunity to learn more about OpenStreetMap, meet fellow mappers, take a few deep dives into subjects, and most importantly be together & help celebrate this incredible community. Our host and venue for the event will be the University of Arizona, who has graciously invited us back after having to cancel the 2020 event due to COVID.

In the coming weeks, you will have the opportunity to submit talk ideas, apply for scholarships, and buy those early bird tickets. Follow us on Twitter at @sotmus, join the #sotmus Slack channel, sign up for ticket updates, or sign up for our newsletter for State of Map updates. Additional details to come!

The Heart of the Southwest

From rock climbing to cycling, golfing and outdoor dining, Tucson knows how to take advantage of the nearly year-round sunshine. Early April in Tucson will bring 80 degree weather - perfect for getting outside to map and mingle with the OSM community. In addition to its fantastic climate, Tucson has a vibrant cultural and artistic community that is steeped in the history and traditions of Mexico and the Indigenous people whose land was divided into modern day Arizona & Mexico. State of the Map US will be hosted by the University of Arizona, a diverse community of students, researchers and residents who care passionately about the people and places of southern Arizona and OpenStreetMap.
