One of the biggest limitations of OSM mapping in the field is the accuracy of GNSS to mark the location of features. For this session we will share new approaches for improving the accuracy of GNSS on consumer mobile devices. The goal is to provide an open service that can be used for OSM mapping providing <50cm geodetic and <1m total accuracy. The hope is this level of precision will bring back a motivation for more mapping parties and in person data collection. A great excuse to get outdoors.
