This was our first conference to lean into a focus area, “The Great Outdoors”. This theme aligned with our growing work in the responsible recreation space through our Trails Stewardship Initiative and the Utah campaign to improve data on trails throughout the state. Plus, with its natural beauty and abundance of state parks, Utah was a wonderful place to celebrate the outdoors.
Thanks to the 20+ new members who joined OSM US during the conference. Not a member yet? It’s easy to join. Plus, when you become a member of OpenStreetMap US, you receive discounts for special events like SotM US.
This brings us to next year’s conference! Have you heard? State of the Map US is headed to Boston in 2025, where OpenStreetMap US will celebrate our 15th anniversary as a nonprofit!
